# What is the Family Photo Upload?
## The Family Upload Link is a tool that lets family members add their own photos and videos to a project directly from their computers or mobile phones. This means no scanning is required. You can turn this link on or off at any time.
### Step 1: Choose an Access Level
When you enable the link, you must first choose how much control the family will have.
After clicking "Enable Upload Link," click the "Settings" box
#### **Limited Access (Default Option)**
This is the standard, most common choice. Family members who receive this link can:
- Upload photos and videos.
- Rearrange the order of the files they uploaded.
- Delete any files they uploaded.
**Full Access**
This option gives the family almost complete control over creating the video. In addition to the limited access features, they can:
- Choose the theme of the video.
- Select the background music.
- Access most of the video creation tools.
### **Step 2: Adjust the Settings (Optional)**
You can customize the experience for the family with these settings:
- **Note to Family:** Write a custom message that will be included in the email or text message they receive with the link.
- **Enable Photo Limit:** Set a maximum number of photos that the family can upload to keep the project focused.
- **Enable Music Upload:** Allow the family to upload their own music files. (Note: This option only becomes available if you have selected "Full Access").
### **Step 3: Share the Link with the Family**
You have three easy ways to send the link:
1. **Copy Link:** Click a button to copy the link, then paste it into a personal email, text message, or on social media.
2. **Email:** Type in one or more email addresses, and the system will send the link directly to them.
3. **Text Message (SMS):** Type in a phone number, and the system will text the link directly to that device.
