How can I capture an audio recording with the Heardstone App?

Tap any of the three buttons to add assets and kickstart the AI auto-fill process. Next, we will walk through Capturing an Audio Recording

Tap the microphone icon to bring up the recording controls on your screen.

Tap the microphone icon to record relevant audio, such as an arrangement meeting with the family to help draft the obituary.

While recording, you can pause at any time and tap the button again to resume whenever you are ready.

Once you are finished, tap the Stop button to complete the recording and begin processing the audio for the obituary draft.

Your new audio file will appear on the Heardstone Obituary Dashboard. Depending on the length of the recording, processing may take a few minutes to complete.

Once processing is complete, a green checkmark with the status "Completed" will appear. Tap the audio file to review it.

To change the name of your newly processed audio, tap the name field and type your preferred title.

Tap the Play button to listen to your recorded audio and review its quality.

Tap the AI Summary button to view a written overview of your recorded audio.

This screen displays key details extracted from your recording—such as the deceased's name, age, and interests—allowing you to quickly verify the AI's findings.

Tap the Share button to send these details to family members for verification. Alternatively, tap the X icon to return to the recording settings.

To delete a recording click the red trash symbol

A pop-up will appear asking if you want to permanently delete the file. Tap Delete to confirm, or tap Cancel to return to the recording settings.
